PASTOR STAN AND KAREN RUSSELL

Lead Pastors

Pastor Stan has served as the Senior Pastor of Horizon Community Church since 1993. His heart is to follow the example of Jesus and to help people experience the transforming love of Christ. He communicates the Bible in a practical, relatable way that connects its timeless message to the joys and challenges of everyday life. Stan also has a great passion for overseeing and fulfilling the vision that God has given for Horizon Christian School.

Stan has been married to his best friend, Karen, since 1981. Together, they have two adult children, Aaron and Candice, as well as a wonderful daughter-in-law and son-in-law. They have one grandchild, with another on the way. Stan loves spending time with his family and enjoys sports, especially following the Horizon Christian School teams.
