Stand Up
Conviction is standing up for what’s right, even when others don’t. This summer in Horizon Kids we will dive into what its like to be a superhero for Christ. If you’re anything like me, you had some super hero’s that you wanted to be just like when you were a kid. Let’s be real though, I still have a few super heroes I would like to be like. I love Iron Man right now, not because of his personality, but he has all this incredible technology! I would love to fly around in a gold/titanium alloy suit that I can talk to and it will talk back to me. Its like Siri, except way smarter!
The thing though I love about superheroes is they fight for whats right. They stand up to the evil and darkness even when at times others won’t. They take on some tough challenges in the villains they face, but they are fighting for a greater cause. Ephesians 6:12 says,
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
We are fighting against the enemy. For kids the enemy may be their friend tempting them to lie to their parents. It could be the temptation to cheat on a test. Whatever it is, we are called to fight and STAND UP against it. So join us this month as we talk about CONVICTION and what that means in your child’s life.
Here is a video to give you a little insight to what we will be talking about this month with your kids.
