About Bill

A fourth generation Assemblies of God Minister, Bill and his wife Joy have been active in pastoral ministry for over 51 years. For 16 years they served as Associate Pastors, focusing on youth, worship, and adult. Over the last 36 years they have been Lead Pastors and Lead Network Superintendents.

For 20 years they served as Lead Pastors, helping grow a declining anchor church of less that 200 in attendence, to a weekly attendance of nearly 3000.
Under their leadership, Hilltop Christian School was established, 3 major building projects were completed, a multi-Pastoral Ministry Team was established, several community outreaches were introduced, include Royal Family Kids Camp, Sports Camps, and partnership with Robert Gray Middle School. In addition, the missions’ efforts of the church grew, investing in over 100 missionaries and projects monthly.

In addition to their weekly church responsibilities, Joy served as a teacher, was the director of the Oregon Women’s Ministries for 2 years, led numerous ministry efforts in the church, was a member of the AG Seminary Board and the AG Coaching Initiative. Bill was as a representative on the Board of Vanguard University and for more than 20 years has been an Executive Board Member of Northwest University. For 35 years, Bill has led a weekly Bible study that has attracted 100s of men of all walks of life. Bill has written numerous ministry articles and is the author of the book, The Last Prophet.

In 2007, Bill was selected to serve as the Oregon Ministry Network Lead Pastor/Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, overseeing 600 ministers and nearly 200 churches and ministries. Joy joined the Network Leadership Team in developing the Network’s Women In Ministry initiative and the Network Coaching program. During their 16 years of leadership, the Network made several progressive shifts in organization and focus. Their mission was to develop effective leaders and pastors and build healthy churches and ministries. In 2023 Bill and Joy stepped aside from this and are now enjoying a new season of opportunity.

Since 2017 Bill has served as the Northwest Regional Executive Presbyter for the Assemblies of God and continues to work with numerous key leaders nationwide.

Bill and Joy have been married for 51 years; have 3 married children and 5 fabulous grandchildren. Bill and Joy enjoy music, reading, travel, sports and driving his 2 classic Corvettes.
