Dirty Jobs
Initiative – That is what we are going to spend the next four weeks talking about with our Elementary kids. Initiative is seeing what needs to be done and doing it. This Life App is something not all kids have learned at this age. We want to take the next month and look into a great example of a man who saw that something needed to be done and took initiative and did something about it. We’re going to be talking about Nehemiah this month.
This month help your kids see life in a different way. Start asking the question, “What do you see?” When you walk into a room, when you walk by someone and when you’re trying to teach children to see themselves from a different perspective, train your kids to notice things they would not ordinarily notice and encourage them to do something about what they see.
This month, our verse is one of my all time favorites. It is Colossians 3:23
Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord.
When we view the things we do daily, this is a great reminder that we are not just working for our parents, our spouses, or even our bosses, but we are working for God.
