About Jay

I have been following Jesus since the ripe old age of 4, when a college-aged student prayed with me at Olympic National Park (WA), where my dad was a seasonal ranger, and have always been involved in a faith community. And after over 50 years of following and serving, I have never felt more passionate about the person of Jesus!

I have a fire in my soul for (Genuine) Community and all things Kingdom. You’ll hear me talking about this all the time! Helping people experience Kingdom Community and follow Jesus with their whole heart is our vision and my daily focus. This includes Life Groups, Spiritual Growth resources, and facilitating our exceptional ministry team.

I also love to write and am currently working on a Kingdom trilogy (non-fiction), a weekly blog, and upcoming fictional works for both children and adults. My first published work, A Taste of the Kingdom, accompanied my “terminal” degree (Doctor of Ministry ) from George Fox University in 2021.

My greatest earthly joy is my family. I’m still head over heels for Stacie, 32 years and running (after her)! We have two adult boys, Kyle of Phoenix, AZ (our holidays are the best), and Calvin and wife Annie of Albany (who have given us three grandchildren). I also love coffee, reading, and exploring the great PNW by engine, foot or paddle.
